Who We Are

We’re Lois and Sarah, the mother-daughter owners and bakers of West Meadow Farm Bakery. In 1999, after finding out that we, along with Lois’ mom (Sarah’s grandmother) all had Celiac disease, our journey to living a gluten-free life began. 

If you can’t make it to the bakery, you can find our products in Chittenden County at Healthy Living and City Market, and in various natural food stores down to Middlebury across to Montpelier.

Why We Bake Gluten-Free

Both Sarah and I were diagnosed with celiac disease in the early 2000s. It’s a challenge to find tasty food you can eat in a world full of gluten, so we created our own. Even though our business began out of personal necessity, we saw the need to help many others who have celiac disease like us, are gluten intolerant, and those who want to have gluten-free diets. It is from this desire that West Meadow Farm Bakery was born.
