The Bakery

We opened our current space at 4 Carmichael Street in Essex Junction, VT in 2019. We bake, debate over new recipes, and most of all, enjoy helping our customers live glorious, gluten-free lives.

We're open Monday 9-1:30, and Tuesday through Saturday 8AM to 3PM. And do try to restrain yourselves from buying all the Pumpkin Chocolate Chip muffins at once.

Baking & Delivery Schedule

We bake daily and with love! Take a peek at our menu and come on into our Essex Junction, Vermont bakery to try our our gluten-free, gluten-free dairy-free, and gluten-free vegan baked goods. 

Our bakery too far away? You can find our breads, muffins, brownies, and carrot cake slices at Healthy Living, City Market, Hunger Mountain, and Middlebury Co-op. We deliver on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Still too far? We take monthly trips to the Upper Valley and Plattsburgh with our Destination Deliveries! Still too far? We also ship!

Hi! We're Lois & Sarah, the mother-daughter duo behind West Meadow Farm Bakery

We were both diagnosed with celiac disease over 20-years ago. We quickly discovered how challenging it was to find tasty food you can eat in a world full of gluten, so we decided to create our own. After three years of trial-and-error, Lois opened up our home kitchen to bake gluten-free for others in 2003. Hearing customers say that "you'd never know this was gluten-free," we moved into our first commercial space in 2009. Ten years later, we opened our current bakery at 4 Carmichael Street in Essex Junction, Vermont. Most days you'll find us or our bakers behind the counter, baking, refining new recipes, and discovering new ways to help others live healthy, gluten-free lives.
